Replying to a recovery diary

On a patient's record, under Recovery diary, Reply to the patient. What Suggest has learned about you is on Settings, Reply preferences.

Under a patient's Recovery diary, the Reply box sends a message to their portal. Where your organisation has Ask and AI drafting, Suggest writes the reply for you. With the box empty it drafts from the patient's latest entries. With something already in the box, Suggest takes it as your guidance: an instruction such as offer a consultation on Monday, or reassure and say no review is needed, or a reply you have half written, which it finishes in your words. The draft replaces what was in the box, and nothing is sent until you press Send. The draft ends Kind regards and your name.

When your guidance asks for an appointment on a day or in a range of days, Suggest looks in your diary, at every organisation you work at, for the free times for that type of appointment and writes them in. Name another person and it looks in theirs. Where patients can book that type of appointment themselves in the portal, the draft sends them there; otherwise it lists the times and asks them to reply with their choice. Offering a time does not hold it. Where nothing is free, a short note appears above the box, such as No free slots Mon 2 Nov, and the draft invites the patient to email or phone to arrange a time.

Suggest learns from you. When you change a draft in a way that matters before you send it, Fedelsoft notes how you write: the wording, the length, how you sign off, what you always add or take out. Those notes are kept against you alone, and the next draft follows them. Settings, Reply preferences lists each one. Change a line and it is yours as you wrote it; press Remove and Suggest stops following it.
