Consent to publish photographs

The Publishing consent fold on the patient record, and From your care team in the patient portal.

The Publishing consent fold on a patient's record holds their consent to their photographs being published on the organisation's own Instagram and Facebook, and says where it stands: Current, To sign, or Withdrawn, with what the consent covers. It can cover the before and after photographs, with intimate areas covered; a short video made from them; and words from their consultation. The video and the words are only ever published with the photographs, so the photographs are always part of it.

Record is for a consent the patient gave you in person, by email, by letter or by telephone: the day they agreed, how, what it covers, and a note if you want one. Under Agreed are the days the patient came to a clinic or had an operation here, newest first; pressing one fills it in. A file already on their record, such as their email, can be kept with it. Request sends it to the patient's portal instead, where they read it and sign it with their finger and their typed name; until then it shows as To sign. Each consent shows who recorded or asked for it, and a signed one shows the signature.

Withdraw, in the fold or in the patient's portal, ends every consent they have given to publish at that organisation. Before you press it the fold says what it will do; it takes their posts that are waiting or scheduled out of the queue straight away, and marks any already published to be taken down. Every recording, request, signature and withdrawal is written to the patient's log.

No photograph of a patient without a current consent covering their photographs can be queued, scheduled or published, whatever the screen says.
