What's new
The What's new tile on Start, and What's new in the menu under your initials.
Every change you would notice on a screen is written up in plain words: what you will see and what to do. The What's new tile on Start counts the updates since you last looked, and its window shows them, each with Dismiss; when nothing is new it shows the latest. The page lists everything, and opening it counts as looking.
While something is new, a small amber dot sits on your initials at the top right, and What's new in that menu carries the count.
