Signing in

The sign-in page, with your username, your organisation and your PIN.

You can sign in to an organisation while you hold a current role there: one marked for signing in, whose end date has not passed. When Left is recorded for you, or your last role ends, your access ends at once, any page you have open signs you out, and your PIN, authenticator, devices for signing in with a face or fingerprint, Google Calendar connection and reMarkable pairing are removed. Your name stays on everything you wrote. Coming back means a new role and setting up your sign-in again. Ending one role while you hold another elsewhere ends only that organisation.

You sign in with the same username, PIN and authenticator as before. The first time, you are walked through setting up the authenticator app on your phone.

If you forget your PIN, Forgotten your PIN on the sign-in page sends a code to your email address. Fedelsoft signs you out after thirty minutes without activity, so a page left open will ask you to sign in again.

Signing in with a face or a fingerprint. After you sign in with your PIN and code, a device that can do it (an iPhone, iPad or Mac with Face ID or Touch ID, a Windows PC with Windows Hello, an Android phone with a fingerprint reader) offers to sign you in that way next time. Say yes and the sign-in page on that device shows a Sign in with Face ID or Touch ID button in place of the PIN boxes, which opens Fedelsoft with no PIN and no code to type; Sign in with your PIN instead, underneath it, brings the boxes back for when you would rather, and they also appear if the device does not confirm it is you. Each device is set up on its own, though browsers on one computer may share it: if Set it up says this device already has a passkey for you, that browser offers the button from then on. Nothing about your face or finger leaves the device: the device only confirms it is you. Set it up only on a device that is yours alone, your own phone or laptop; on a shared ward or reception device anyone who can unlock it could sign in as you, so keep to your PIN and code there. Several people may each set up their own on one device, and the device then asks which of you is signing in. On a device that is shared, tick This is a shared device, on the offer or in Settings: that device then offers nobody a passkey and its sign-in page keeps to the PIN, until the box is unticked in Settings on that device. The devices you have set up are listed under Settings, in Users, where you can add the one you are on or remove one that is lost or passed on. If you said Not now, that is also where to set it up later.
