Your sign-in code for reception
The reception screen, after you sign in by choosing your name.
The reception screen takes a name or a scanned code. The first time you sign in by choosing your name, your sign-in code is emailed to the address held for you, so you can scan it next time instead of typing. After that the screen offers Send code, which emails it again when you ask. The email has a Stop these emails link, and a Director or anyone who runs the front desk can start them again from the Sign-in part of your contact record. Where your name is also a patient's, or you have a patient record of your own, the screen asks whether you are here as staff or as a patient before anything else, and any further question narrows within your answer. The screen says only that it has gone, never the code itself, because the screen stands where anybody can read it.
The email carries your organisation's letterhead, the barcode, and short steps for keeping it on your phone. On Android, Google Wallet makes a pass from a photo of the barcode. On an iPhone, open the email on another screen and let the Wallet app read the barcode with the camera. Anyone holding your code can sign you in or out, so keep it to yourself.
If there is no email address on your record, the screen says so and nothing is sent. Reception can add one.
