Possible double invoicing
Double invoicing, beside Label and Postpone at the top of your to-do list, shown while any such task is open.
Every patient flagged for possible double invoicing is on one page, each with all the invoices their task named side by side: who issued it, which fees it charges, its date, the items, the total, what is owed and each payment with its reference. Two invoices from the same organisation with the same date and total are pointed out as looking like one entered twice.
Each patient's card says at the top what still looks like a double charge, and shows those invoices first; any the task named when it was raised that are no longer suspected are folded beneath, saying so, judged afresh every time the page opens and after every change. Once nothing is left, and no unpaid invoice has its same charge paid elsewhere, the card says Settled and the patient's task closes by itself; the morning run also closes, each day, any such task whose patient is no longer suspected, whether or not anybody opened the page, so the page empties as it is worked and anybody no longer flagged clears on their own. Each invoice also shows what was passed on from it and what it kept, and says so where money received is neither. An invoice that was never submitted says so, and any other invoice on the patient's record charging the same fees for the same thing, from any organisation, is named beneath it with the organisation that issued it, with its date and whether it was paid, flagged or not; where the conclusion is plain, such as a draft never sent beside the same charge paid, it says what to do.
Beside each invoice is one menu of what can be done to it. Void as a duplicate of another invoice takes off any payment that is recorded on both, same amount, date and reference, then voids it and notes on both invoices what happened; nothing is refunded. Void: not owed and Void: raised in error are for an invoice with no payment on it. Write off and Not for payment close what is owed. Issue as or Move to puts it under the right organisation. New task: check whether it was paid, and New task: look into this invoice, ask you who it is for from the people of the organisation that issued it, then give them a task linked to the patient and the invoice. Choose one from Choose an action and confirm, and it is done there and then. Anything that cannot be done says why beside the menu.
Done, beside the patient's name, closes their task. Invoice and its number opens the full invoice in a new tab.
