Payroll

Payroll, under Money in the menu on Start, for those who have it there where the organisation has the Payroll add-on, and the payslip on a task.

Payroll lists the payslips whose period ends in the month, one for each member of staff, with the shifts they worked in the period, the hours, the shift pay and their leave, and the totals underneath. Earlier and Later move a month at a time, and Print prints the list. A payslip is made when somebody on payroll confirms a day they worked; in the current month, Paid here lately lists the people who had a payslip in either of the last two months and have none this month, each with New payslip to make one.

The list holds the payslips of every organisation you sign in at where you have Payroll, each exactly as you would see it signed in there. Where it holds more than one organisation's, each payslip is marked with its organisation's label, and a tick for each organisation hides or shows its payslips, with the totals worked out again from what is shown. A payslip opens and is saved at its own organisation. New payslip, and Paid here lately, are for the organisation you are signed in at. An organisation whose payslips could not be read is named at the top.

A person's name opens their payslip: the period, the hourly rate and notes, then every shift worked in the period with its planned and actual times, break, hours, rate and pay, their leave with its hours, any non-clinical duties, and their clock in and out times. A shift already paid on an expense is shown but not counted. Changing To moves From to the day after the same date a month earlier, and the payslip is worked out again for the new period. Print prints the payslip.

Pay holds the payslip's figures from your payroll provider: the pay date, tax code, NI category and NI number, then the payments (the shifts worked, which can be left out, and up to six more lines such as holiday pay or a bonus), the income tax, National Insurance, pension and student loan taken, up to six other deductions, and the employer's National Insurance and pension. A new payslip starts with the tax code, NI category and NI number of the person's last one. Everything is saved as you type, and beneath it the payslip itself shows the payments to a gross, the deductions to a total, the net pay, what the employer paid on top, and the tax year so far, added up from this tax year's payslips.

Mark final when the payslip is issued: its figures are then locked, and the shift pay stays as it was even if the duty schedule changes. Reopen unlocks it, and the payslip says who marked it final and when. The month's list shows each payslip's net pay and whether it is final or a draft.
